A gift set or travel bag of good quality laundry products like these...

Sometimes... the laundry service on a ship can be hit and miss... so it would be good to carry their own little bottles of stain remover, delicates wash and de-creaser etc for their best clothes... otherwise they can get ruined.

An iPod would be a great gift.
You could download some inspirational songs they could listen to while gliding across the oceans and seas

why not buy your mum a nice cashmere pashmina and your Dad an up-market hat. I've been on a cruise and these things come in handy more times than you'd think! I think they'd really appreciate these gifts during the cruise.

how about a gorgeous candle they can burn in their cabin. it helps to get rid of that 'ship' smell. If you want a really posh candle... try Jo Malone or glasshouse candles. Their scents are divine.

my parents are going on a cruise around Europe early in 2009. I want to buy them a Christmas present they can use on their holiday.
I've never been on a cruise. So if anyone's been on one and knows what would make a useful gift - let me know.
Thanks.
