Gift Ideas for High Maintenance Men > boyfriends 20th bday present?

hey all

my boyfriend is turning 20 soon and i'm in need of present ideas for him!!! he is a guy that pretty much has it all! he wears watches, 2 bracelets and a ring. he is fashion conscious, but i cannot buy him any shirts or clothes because his sister works at a top of the range store and gets all his clothes for him for free! (he also says to not buy him clothes...but should i anyway?=/) ... and his sister is also getting him a new watch.
my gifts in the past have included: oroton belt, mother of pearl cufflinks, ed hardy cologne, i did a you&me memory book for vday (which he absolutely loves and still reads!! ), frangelico in a tin box thing!
now im just completely stuck on birthday ideas... and he always buys me nice gifts - necklace from bluejuice, tiffanys bracelet, 16 g ipod...
i'd love to buy him jewellery but because he already has so much im not sure? also wouldn't know what guys like?
*sigh* this is the time when i wish i had a brother...

p.s - this is really a stressful situation for me because he has bought me suchhhh nice gifts but all seem effortless and im going crazyyyy!!
thanksss

that's a hard one! I would either -

1. Not buy him a gift... just organise an event or day out - such as a sailing lesson followed by lunch... or a members ticket to the footy/ rugby etc. Whatever he's into.

2. Source his gift from overseas so you know that his gift will be unique and that his sister won't have given it to him already hahahaha.

3. Dress up as his favourite fantasy - maid, dominatrix, school girl etc and give him a night to remember. LOL

and I thought my BF was hard to buy for! I think carmella is right. You need to look overseas for something original. I recently bought my BF something from Spindle and Canister, a menswear label from california.

I bought him the black cashmere crew. he gets loads of comments

what about a magazine subscription?

he sounds like he's quite into his fashion. what about a photo shoot. guys never get professional photos taken of themselves. As long as it's quite a masculine setting i think that would be hot. And the best thiing is that you can keep a photo for yourself.

holly i like the idea of a photo session!

how about a signed picture of his fave team or band. There are specialist websites and shops that have these. I bought a framed and signed George Best picture in the UK. I'm sure you can get them in Australia.

thanks for the ideas :)
im still not sure!! i like the idea of buying him something overseas, but i had better get my act together ... but then what to buy him!! because he said not to gt him clothes.
the photo shoot idea is nice, i'd like that, but he isn't really much of a photo guy :(
i have brainstormed my aboslute heart out and i KNOW he wants these:
- gucci cologne
- eagles guernsy :s

then i was thinking (since he is a bit metro hehe)... a nice skincare pack.. like real nice! i have never seen any moisturisers etc around his house but know he'd be interested... but it is a weird present =S ahhh.
he always gets me like one thing that mean alot. where as i tend to get several things... =((

great-date,
as much as i like that idea he doesn't like pre-signed stuff... like it'd mean more if he got the autographs himself,,,

sigh!!

p.s - he isn't into music festivals either...

The Gucci cologne is gorgeous. My BF uses it. I LOVE it.

Vera Wang also does a great skincare range for men and it smells divine

A personalized bullet having the name of your boy friend is a nice & exclusive gift .

a bullet? My boyfriend would think I wanted him to kill someone hahahaha

I love the bullet idea - it's the sort of gift that men would love to get... but women hate

Difficult age to buy for as anything they truly love will be expensive. Perhaps an adventure gift oucher for a hot lap in a real racing car? Expensive, but wow, a life changing experience. Take a look at www.cheap-gift.com.au

yes... every man would love a lap in a racing car - I think most women would love that gift as well!!

I have a few ideas for you:

Hot Air Ballooning - $600 for 2 people, includes a champagne breakfast - yum

Full day V8 rally car driving includes snack food - $597. My BF would love that

I think the Hot Air Balloon is a better value for money rather than the V8 because you can both enjoy it.

Bloody men... they are hard to buy for.
